We saw the litter that Wolf was born into at 8 days, and then again at 5 1/2 weeks. Each of the 7 puppies is well constructed, classically marked with superb temperaments. There were 3 Sables (Wolf and 2 of his sisters) the other 4 looked like Black Tricolours.
This young man just kept coming back into our heads - we just had to have him - and what a character he is!

Here we see Wolf in relaxed mode, fast asleep with his very good friend Ellie and by himself, but not quite asleep and not quite awake either. When he was a 'baby puppy' Wolf was average sized for his age......however, along with his best mate Connor, he grew quite quickly into a 'man-sized' dog (I do like my dogs to be masculine and our bitches to be feminine) and now he's maturing nicely.

When Wolf came to live with us, his coat displayed usual Shaded Sable colouring - although his base colour was more of a pale apricot rather than a ginger colour - he'd been with us for about a month or so when his colour distribution started to change. It seemed to happen almosrt overnight. His long black guard hairs vanished and re-appeared all over his coloured fur (but not his white bits!) as the same length as the coloured hair. It was, and still is, fascinating to watch. He has so many shades in his fur. Wolf's parentage is confirmed by DNA.
