We have been very lucky
that the family Lace went to as a baby puppy have allowed her to come
back to us.
Lace returned to us on Saturday
27th January 2007. We were not unduly concerned about whether she would
find the change difficult to cope with, but we did hold our breath for
a while!
We have the same dogs here
(except Katie, who is now at the Rainbow Bridge)
now as when Lace left us when she was about 8 weeks old....so all the
smells should have been familiar to her. We did take the re-introductions
slowly and carefully, but in truth we need not have worried.
Lace does have a learning
curve ahead of her, learning to be part of a pack rather than an only
child. The other dogs have all checked her out, and she them...and in
turn they have each invited her to play with them. Some invitations she
has accepted, others she has asked for a 'rain-check'. |

Lace, although she is a
Black/White little person, bears a striking, almost uncanny, resemblence
to her Great Granny Kara and her Great Aunt Corrie. |
