All puppies in this litter passed their litter screening eye exam at the AHT (their sire is Normal so we knew there were no problems with CEA, but no other conditions were noted either, which is nice) on the same day we had the whole litter BAER hearing tested. All passed with flying colours.
Their sire 'Dave' - Manderian SummerSolstice - and Dam - 'Megan' Shepwood Burning Torch for Manderian - are both DNA tested (by GSS) Normal for NCL, which means that this whole litter is NCL Normal by parentage - see individual pages for test report numbers.
Dave is DNA tested Normal for CEA, whilst Megan is confirmed (by DNA test) as a CEA Carrier. This meant that we would need to have (for our own knowledge & benefit really, because we already know the status of their parents) the puppies DNA tested to find who is a Carrier and who is Normal. Tests performed by Optigen , report numbers in brackets

We, and our Vet, tried everything we could think of to save the beautiful babies. All four puppies died in my arms, being kissed, cuddled, caressed and told that they were so beautiful and very much loved and wanted.
