Almost from the moment he
was born, I knew that I wanted to keep Connor. I also wanted to keep his
sister Ceri. There was that indefinable something about the two of them.....

We had been approached by
a lovely couple, D & D, who had lost their old female BC due to the
ill health that often accompanies aged ladies. We had discussed the fact
that each of Megans children has a 50/50 chance of inheriting her CEA Carrier
status and & all possible implications and they were OK with that. D
& D really wanted a female puppy, and Ceri was the only one that MIGHT
be available but ONLY if the DNA test revealed that she as a CEA Carrier.
Both Connor & Ceri are CEA Carriers, so keeping my promise (and it was
very difficult) I phoned and gave them the news. It was a time of
mixed emotions for all of us. Ceri - now called Misty - had a fabulous home
waiting for her, so that's what happened. Misty is the centre of D &
D's universe and wants for nothing. |

Nothing in the world
would induce me to part with Connor voluntarily - even more so since the
demise of our Dave.
Connor, true to his ISDS
lines, is taking his time to mature. His is, even at this tender age,
a good strong 'man-sized' dog which I like very much. Connor has a kind,
gentle, even thoughtful, temperament, excellent conformation, good thick
coat and a graceful driving movement to die for. At the age of about 7
months he learned that he wouldn't fall over if he lifted his leg to pee!
He's proud of himself now that he's joined 'the big boys'. |
