.............

Originally, we 'officially' began when the Kennel Club granted the affix MANDERIAN to Lyn Norton & Tony Blick on 30th June 1993. This affix is part of DoberMANn, part BorDER with IAN attached to complete the word. It is pronounced as "man-dare-ree-ann".

At that time, our doggy household was 1 Dobermann ('Zep') and 3 Border Collies ('Bert', 'Katie' and 'Joshua'), although they never had the affix 'Manderian' added to their registered names.

Since early July 2007, the Manderian affix is in the sole ownership of Lyn. Tony - voluntarily - gave up his interest. Up until that point, Border Collies were registered with Kennel Club in our joint ownership. The Border Collies that are also registered with the International Sheep Dog Society are recorded (by them) as being in Lyn's sole ownership.

About Tonlynor

At the beginning of March 07, we decided that - to tidy things up a bit - all of the dogs that were registered with the ISDS would be transfered into Lyn's sole name with the KC and have - where appropriate - the Tonlynor affix attached.

Lyn also has the Tonlynor affix registered with the ISDS (except they they refer to it as a 'prefix' because it will be the first word in the registered names). This way, puppies that are bred here can have the same name with the ISDS as they have with the KC. We think it makes following the pedigrees a lot easier.

The Dobermanns belong solely to Lyn and are registered in her sole name with the Kennel Club. Whenever a litter of Dobermann puppies is born, they will be registered with the TONLYNOR affix which is an anagram of Lyn's name - minus one 'N'.

Manderian / Tonlynor are located in Redditch in the beautiful county of Worcestershire and is perfect for dog owning people. There are great open spaces and pathways, well away from the roads, in which to walk and enjoy the clean air.

Birmingham and Worcester are only half an hour away. The NEC can be reached in approx 20 minutes, which is very handy when there are various Dog Shows and Events being held there, particularly CRUFTS.
